I am much happier with the content of this post. That being said, it deserves some explanation. I am currently working on a portraiture project. I was originally inspired by Danny Santos' "Portraits of Strangers", but I don't quite think I'm bold enough for that yet. Maybe someday. For now, I will be sticking to my friends. I also very much enjoy photographing people who are important to me. That's been my theme for studio and for all my projects this semester: emphasizing the people that are important to me. "You are made of a little bit of everyone that you love," a friend once said. Few things describe my heart better than that statement. Which leads me to another studio project that I'm working on. I believe this will turn out to be my semester project. I've sent envelopes and letters to 23 important people (friends, mentors, family members) asking them to create something for me. Very little restrictions, only that they must leave a little bit of their material blank for me to continue their work. Hopefully I will start to get those back soon, and I'll post them as I get them. I don't think I've ever been quite so excited about a project. I just hope I get some back. So if you're out there, friends, and reading this, send me art. :)

I have a planned shoot with my roommate (and sweetest, kindest friend in the world) this afternoon, so you guys (the three of you that actually read this) may be in for even more reading material this evening. I know you're just riveted.
