12.18.2010 (part deux)

Today has been an eventful day, but not exactly by traditional standards. Technically, I haven't left the house since I got home from my 8 A.M. final, and roomie has been studying/testing her life away, so it's just been me here by myself at home. And it's been wonderful. Let's discuss why.

-I painted my nails.
I know, they're pretty pitiful, but I figured this was a good first step to stop biting them. That, or bandage them all, and this is a little prettier.

-I have been working on Rex's Christmas present all day. I set up shop in my sunny corner of the kitchen bench and have proceeded to make a large mess.
It's the way I work best.

-Roomie's bootleg movie collection has been keeping me company all day. Quantity over quality in this case. I'm not too picky about my background noise.
Hey there, Marcel, hanging out with me from atop my television.

-I feel really happy. This is the first day in weeks where I don't end up severely down after keeping myself company for a few hours. Don't ask me why, but I'm generally dancing a thin line between okay and drastically upset. But today, I'm doing just fine. I'm not at 100%, but I'm perfectly happy with 85.
And, for the first time in the history of this blog, a photo with me in it! Shocking, I know.

I hope you all (all two of you that read this) know that, even when life is hard, it's still good. And even when it's easier to be sad, it's worth the extra effort to be happy. Now, enough of that. I'll get back to my Jell-O and crafting. Have a beautiful day.

  1. You look so gorgeous, my friend. I'd easily frame that picture and tape it on my wall... With good quality Scotch clear tape.
