Hey y'all

Just a little photo dump from the last couple weekends. Too busy writing papers, composing portfolios, finalizing lesson plans, writing reflections, and detailing case studies to even think about a real blog post. Or even write in full sentences. Best wishes!

Merry Christmas, Ya'll!

Continuing in the tradition of a day late! I like to think that I can never make holiday posts on time because I'm too busy spending time with the people that I'm actually with in the real world. That's probably about 90% of the explanation; the other 10% is because at the end of the day, I'm too tired (or lazy) to get my computer out.

Anywho, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you had a blessed, beautiful, love-filled, relaxing, cheerful, fun, joyous, happy, altogether WONDERFUL holiday! Even if you don't celebrate Christmas....we all need a just awesome day every now and again. From my family to yours!

...praise Him, from whom all blessings flow...

Hooray!!

Sorry for the hiatus, but...

The semester is over!

Thank the good Lord! And the year is almost over too! Another "thank the good Lord".

What do you have planned for the Christmas break? Going home to family? Staying wherever you are? Going on vacation? Visiting friends? Luckily, we get a little of all of the above. Tyler, Abilene, Dallas, and....

Destin, Florida!

Hooray! You bet your bottom I am more excited for this Christmas break than I have been for anything in a very, very long time. Rex and I both have a few more days of work, and then we're heading home for Christmas!

I hope you're excited about your plans as well, even if you're not traveling!  A good break can do wonders for the soul!

Have fun making plans!!

Christmas Tunes

I've always loved Christmas music. But let's be real here, there's a lot of it out there that is not very good. At all. And by not very good, I mean whoever's rendition of the song isn't very good. Not the song itself. Obviously. Like, I'm not a huge fan of Mariah Carey Christmas. And as much as I love old Bobby Dylan, his Christmas cd is kind of painful. So, here is a compilation of a few of my faaavorite Christmas songs! And I promise, no Mariah.

1. Ho-Ho-Hopefully by The Maine
2. Merry Christmas, Here's To Many More by Reliant K
3. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Jack Johnson
4. Mistletoe & Holly by Frank Sinatra
5. Little Saint Nick by the Beach Boys
5. Christmas Time Is Here by the Vince Guaraldi Trio (from A Charlie Brown Christmas)
6. Baby, It's Cold Outside by She & Him
7. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Death Cab For Cutie
8. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Coldplay
9. So This Is Christmas by The Beatles
10. Winter Wonderland by Jason Mraz
11. It Came Upon A Midnight Clear by Ella FItzgerald
12. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
13. Blue Christmas by Elvis
14. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by She & Him
15. Christmas Song by Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds
16. I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm by Dean Martin

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

With only five days until the best holiday of the year, I present... Christmas photos!

Tee hee. I'm not usually prone to cheesiness, but I can't get enough of our silly Christmas pictures. Plus I love that hat of his. He eats seconds (and thirds and fourths) anytime I cook, he's patient with me when I'm losing my mind from stress, and he cracks me up on an hourly basis. And he'll be spending Christmas with The Winchesters in San Antonio. Wherever you are or whatever you're doing this holiday, I hope you're spending it with the people who you love, who are most important to you. It's an age-old cliche, but worth remembering. You are blessed, you are loved, you have worth, and you are beautiful.

Have a merry Christmas. :)

12.18.2010

Today marks my first final of the semester (GEOG 1401) and hence the end of regular scheduled classes (such as ART 3372). Sad. However, I've decided to continue the blog. I'll need a little creative something to keep me going next semester (19 hours, with no studio). I'll have one more portrait, and then will be moving on to other pastures (sort of...). Anyway, hope the end of the semester treats everyone well, don't let the finals get ya down.

The most wonderful time of the year.
