Good At Things

I just discovered this new book by Andy Selsberg. I basically love anything in list form, but a published group of lists with an encouraging, funny message? Count me in. Some of the "skills" are funny (forcing people to acknowledge how adorable your baby's foot is), some are genuine (battling inner demons), and some are facetious (telling professional coaches what to do).

What are you good at? I'm good at handling throw up (TMI? Let's be real, I'm an early childhood professional and that's basically a qualification), watching the same movies over and over (ie The Dark Knight, Inglorious Basterds, and Dawn of the Dead), and giving late birthday gifts.

...those count right?

P.S. - While I was linking to Amazon, I discovered this book in the "More Search Results"...what a gem!

Movin' On Up

I have a few flaws. You can read through past posts and note them, if you'd like. I'm unorganized and cluttered, kind of negative at times, a procrastinator....and, terrible at moving. Like, very very bad. I just get really nervous about hoisting heavy things high into the air and onto a truck bed. And I don't have the strongest upper body, either.

Despite this, however, I am now successfully moved into our new house! The world's biggest thank you to Rex and my mom. Because they pretty much moved me while I sneezed and dropped things.

Now, everything just needs to be put in its rightful place. Which will probably take until we move out next May.

Positive thinking, Claire!

Happy Friday, all!

#7: Intervals of 10

#7: Intervals of 10

Let me explain. When your total at the grocery store/restaurant/gas station/shopping venue of your choice comes out to $15.30, or better yet, a whole dollar amount, like $6.00 even. Or when you make a 90 on a test, opposed to an 89 or 91. Or when you're celebrating turning 20 after that odd year of being 19. Or when your workout summary on the elliptical says you burned 290 calories AND ran for exactly 30 minutes.

Perfection.
