Oh, how I love my family! Aren't they all so good-looking? Hee hee. I'm so happy I got to see all of my paternal side of the family this weekend. I hadn't realized quite how much I missed them until I saw them all again! It's been years since I've seen some of them; I hadn't even met little Anne-Marie until this weekend! I have an enormous amount of photos (I filled up my CF card for the first time since I bought it six years ago!) so if you're not particularly interested in my family, you may as well stop reading now. But I will warn you, some of these photos are pretty adorable!
Exhibit A: Little 18 month-old Waylon Hurst. This is how he smiles in all pictures.
Exhibit B: Precious little Anne-Marie. Oh how I adore her! We haven't had a little girl in the family for over ten years and I have just been waiting for a little sweetheart to love on.
There were peacocks roaming all around the camping site! Apparently this was much less exotic and bizarre than my sister and I thought, according to everyone else in the family.
Driving the boat! Rex was the designated Skipper all day and I got to take over for a few minutes for my my first ever boat drive! It was pretty nerve-wracking, I have to admit.
Cousins Wyatt and Garrett!
The cutest family photo ever!
And of course, my family! Rex forgot his white shirt, clearly. I'm so blessed to have people who care about me and each other so much, both in my immediate and extended family. And they all loved Rex. Except for Carson, age 7, because Rex beat him in the splash-ball war at the pool. Even little Waylon took a liking to him.
Oh, how happy that picture makes me! I think when I took that photo, Rex officially became part of the family. Of course, he has been a part of the family to me for quite a while, but this photo just makes it official; he fit in so well!
Silly little sister and me! This just makes me laugh. She's so wonderful!
A good one to end on, I think, taken by Taylor! Sorry if this has been photo overload! It was a happy weekend. We all got to relax, hang out on the boat on the lake all day, eat good food, play around with the kids, make s'mores, feed the peacocks, sleep in, and visit with each other for the first time in a long time! It made me so happy to see everyone and I miss them already!
Pure, complete, sweet happiness!
